Who we are

Christina Hayes Haley

Christina Hayes Haley is a painter with over twenty years of experience in the arts, but her love portraits started as soon as she could hold a crayon. Christina’s portraits are colorful and contemporary with exceptional likenesses that capture the spirit of the individual.

Christina grew up in Australia and obtained a Master’s degree in Fine Arts from the Victorian College of the Art, Melbourne University (Australia), and was awarded a semester abroad at The Slade London while completing her bachelor’s (also at the VCA).

Christina moved to Dallas, TX in 2016, when she married her husband Christopher Haley. She directed the Haggerty Gallery, at the University of Dallas for five years before deciding to stay at home with her sweet bub and paint portraits full-time.

In her portraits, as well as her freelance work as a curator, theatre designer, and artist Christina is driven by a passion for storytelling and the people that drive those stories.

Christopher Haley

Christopher is a philosopher who has always had a love for photography and woodworking. With a focus on studio portraiture and lighting Christopher has set up a mobile photography studio for our commission portraiture and art documentation.

When the idea for Hayes Haley Studio was born Christopher quickly expanded his workshop for frame making. Christopher’s frames are made of hardwoods, each piece chosen for that particular painting, that he mills, shapes, and finishes by hand into gorgeous custom frames for our portraits.

By day Christopher is the Vice President of the Hildebrand Project & Publisher of Hildebrand's Project Press. He oversees their publishing enterprise, marketing, communications, and has helped pioneer a number of innovative and successful programs.

In his free time—when he gets free time—he likes to listen to classical music, write essays, ride two-wheeled vehicles, and build things.
